Employee Spotlight

Beckie Neumann

Product Manager

Why I joined RiskIQ

RiskIQ has an innovative approach to a big, interesting problem, which stood out to me immediately when I was applying for jobs. I was looking for opportunities to be part of building something new, to work on something that would have a positive, tangible impact on real people, and to learn a lot in the process–RiskIQ offered all of that.

What I like about working at RiskIQ

I really enjoy the collaborative, proactive working environment here. We have a great team of smart people from a broad set of backgrounds and life experiences, and it’s rewarding to see our ideas and our work turn into positive outcomes for our users.

Hiten Sharma

Technical Account Manager (London, UK)

Why I joined RiskIQ

Having worked for established companies in the past, I wanted to experience a start-up environment. I was lucky enough to ponder over some opportunities at the same time. RiskIQ won, hands down, as it allowed me to be part of and disruptive company with an innovative solution – a solution that tackles a real problem.

What I like about working at RiskIQ

Since I joined, the company has grown considerably. Despite this growth, there are not many companies where you can reach out to the CEO directly at all levels. The company still retains its core values, culture and encourages innovation. We have a lot of smart people, and together we are shaping the future of the company. It is an exciting time for RiskIQ and our customer base. The security landscape is always changing and being part of a proactive environment presents a new challenge every day – challenge accepted!!

Dasha Spencer

Software Engineer (Shawnee, Kansas)

Why I joined RiskIQ

This seemed like a great opportunity to expand not only my programming knowledge but also learn more about the field of Cyber Security. The environment seemed more casual than in a big office so I wouldn’t feel like another number on a company roster. I also felt like the work I would be doing would impact the customers directly and in a relatively short time so I wouldn’t have to wait for months to get feedback or see people using the code I wrote. Which is always exciting!

What I like about working at RiskIQ

We have a great collaborative environment that expands beyond just my immediate team. I feel like we’re able to create meaningful relationships with other engineering teams as well as CS, ProdOps and even Sales representatives. I never feel bad about asking for help from my co-workers or taking responsibility for an issue since I know people here support each other and encourage mutual growth. It’s also nice to work in a place with people of similar geeky interests since we’re able to connect beyond just the professional interactions and become friends.
