September 04, 2017
RiskIQ’s cyber threat hunting tool PassiveTotal now available from Ignition Technology in an MSSP model to enable recurring revenues
London, UK – September 5, 2017 – Ignition Technology and RiskIQ today announced that RiskIQ PassiveTotal®, the de facto tool for cyber threat hunters, is now available for Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) to enhance the value they can bring to their customers. New licensing and pricing for the cloud-based platform enlarges the addressable market for RiskIQ, unlocking access into the MSSP sector and enabling VAR partners to build RiskIQ into their service offerings.
“This is a great opportunity for our partner community to tap into the growing enterprise appetite for managed security services and extend the success we’ve seen with the PassiveTotal product over the last 12 months,” said Sean Remnant, chief strategy officer at Ignition Technology. “The UK MSSP space is becoming highly competitive and we believe RiskIQ’s unique cyber intelligence proposition is an opportunity for leading players to truly differentiate their offerings while increasing revenues and minimising the operational costs of cyber investigations.”
PassiveTotal provides managed security service teams with the widest range of internet datasets to aid their investigation of exploits, Indicators of Compromise (IoC) and threat actors impacting their customers. Many of the curated datasets in PassiveTotal are unique to RiskIQ and allow threat hunters to build a more complete picture of the internet assets owned by malicious actors, resulting in a faster, more effective threat response. Teams can collaborate through shared projects, giving members access to current and historic research efforts and facilitating ongoing investigations across shift patterns and geo-locations.
“RiskIQ PassiveTotal has become the tool of choice for over 24,000 security analysts working in threat intel, incident response and security operations teams”, said Colin Verrall, RiskIQ VP EMEA. “We’re excited to make it available through Ignition Technology and now packaged for managed security service providers across the UK.”
