Jonathan Matkowsky, part of RiskIQ’s Incident Investigation & Intelligence (i3) Team, Has Been Recognized as a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP)

SAN FRANCISCO, JUNE 18, 2020 – Jonathan Matkowsky, part of RiskIQ's Incident Investigation & Intelligence (i3) team of trained intelligence analysts, has been recognized by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP). Jonathan serves as a digital risk subject matter expert within i3, which, among other things, helps its customers manage rapidly evolving privacy threats and mitigate the potential loss and misuse of information assets.

Jonathan holds a CIPP/E credential specific to European data protection professionals. He is a Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), both of which are recognized by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as the gold standard accreditation of credentials for information privacy professionals.

Becoming a FIP demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of privacy laws, privacy program management, and essential data protection practices, including through considerable on-the-job experience. Matkowsky joins a highly select group of professionals worldwide who currently hold the FIP designation. "Detecting, mitigating, and preventing compromised personal data is a critical component of attack-surface management.

"Privacy interferences are also exploited well beyond the perimeter of the corporate firewall as an attack vector against a corporate enterprise to launch harmful operations that if not detected and prevented, may otherwise endanger the safety of our customer's executives and family members," says Nick Gicinto, Vice President of i3.

As vice president of i3, Gicinto leads RiskIQ's i3 Managed Intelligence Services (MIS) and Strategic Intelligence.

RiskIQ i3 MIS core functions include Tailored Intelligence, External Threats, and Executive Guardian, RiskIQ's executive protection solution that continuously monitors the web for indicators of attacks, including online digital risk, personal threats, and leaked sensitive information of RiskIQ's customers and their executives.

Operating as an extension of client teams, i3 suppresses, analyses, and investigates malicious content and threat actors associated with cyber threats to clients' attack surfaces. i3 Strategic Intelligence core functions include industry thought leadership through subject matter experts who look "over the horizon" to identify emerging threat vectors, map trends, and recommend tailored solutions.
