Jason Zann will join security executives from American Express and U.S. Bank, as well as U.S. congressman
San Francisco – Nov. 2, 2017 – RiskIQ, the leader in digital threat management, today announced that its vice president and head of platform Jason Zann will moderate a panel alongside security executives from American Express and U.S. Bank, as well as U.S. Congressman Kevin Yoder, on optimizing data at the highly regarded Security Innovation Network (SINET) Showcase in Washington, D.C., Nov. 8-9, 2017.
SINET is a “super connector,” providing a series of platforms for the business of cybersecurity to take place within the global ecosystem of the entrepreneur, including venture capital, investment banking, system integration, academia, science, legal, policy, and industry as well as government intelligence, military and civilian departments and agencies. Its programs consistently attract the highest level of international industry and government executives. SINET is well known for its coveted and unparalleled networking opportunities.
The session, ‘Data in the Blindspot, Insights About Understanding Where Data is Going (or Maybe Already Is)’ will be held on Day One of the D.C. event, Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. ET.
It will explore how overload is unmanageable, and how we need to move from finding the needle in the haystack to finding a needle in a stack of needles. Failure to do so limits understanding, and ultimately, the correct action. The challenge and the opportunity are that critical pieces of data are in front of us, but we are not asking the right questions and assembling correctly to identify and maximize it. How do we achieve these goals while at the same time balancing security and privacy?
This panel will not discuss technology but rather the continual, fundamental shift in thinking about how and why there is a growing need for organizing existing and available data to take action.
The speakers will cover implementations in this thinking around physical, civil liberties, threat intel, and risk. In addition to RiskIQ’s Zann, expert panelists will include:
As moderator, Zann brings more than 20 years of experience in information security management, intelligence and forensics. He is responsible for managing the execution of RiskIQ’s global go-to-market strategy. As a consultant and practitioner, he has held senior positions in cyber threat intelligence, financial services data security and penetration testing with iSIGHT Partners, DST Systems, ERUCES, Canaudit, UMB Bank and Q-Networks.
“SINET is a top security industry organization with members of the highest caliber across government, investment, technology, research, and beyond. I am honored to be moderating the session on how to best utilize our existing and available data alongside renowned experts from global financial brands and Congress,” said Zann. “I look forward to bringing my expertise on discovering and tracking internet-facing digital assets outside the firewall from RiskIQ, as well as my past experience in financial services security and threat intelligence to the table.”
Participating in the SINET Showcase is the latest industry achievement for RiskIQ. Last month, the company won “Overall Web Security Solution Provider of the Year” award honors from CyberSecurity Breakthrough and was designated as a Distinguished Vendor in this year’s 2018 TAG Cyber Security Annual, joining an exclusive group of the world’s leading cybersecurity vendors as selected by Dr. Edward Amoroso, CEO of TAG Cyber.
