PassiveTotal Thursday:
What a real state-sponsored cyber attack can teach you about cyber threat hunting

  • Speaker(s): Caroline Yoon, RiskIQ

Back in February, it was reported that the Venezuelan government appeared to be hacking activists and humanitarian aid workers. Through DNS manipulation and typo-squatting, a fake website was set up to mirror a website created for volunteers to register to deliver humanitarian aid throughout the country.

That same campaign was found to also be targeted aid workers via phishing in an attempt to trick them into giving up their passwords for services such as Facebook, Twitter, and Gmail.

Watch today to learn:

  • How to leverage PassiveTotal’s both traditional and unique datasets to uncover more cyber threat actor infrastructure
  • How to investigate the full scale of an attack campaign inside the platform from just one IoC
  • Analyze different cyberattack strategies used by real cyber threat actor groups so you can identify them in your environment

The webinar will be hosted at:

  • North America 10 a.m. PST
  • Europe 10 a.m. BST
  • Asia 10 a.m. HKT
